but I didn't do it to increase flow, rather to decrease the pressure loss and heat input into the oil from the restrictions of sharp edges and inside corners. I even ported all of the oil passage short side radii in the block to create a ~1/4" radius rather than the sharp eddge created by the intersecting drilled holes. Making all of these restrictions more efficient will reduce the loss of pressure throughout the system and increase the oil pressure at the bearings... some might argue this will also increase the total flow through the system, but in my opinion that is not the point of the exercise, especially since the oil system is not open flow.
